Job Description:
Our design company is seeking a talented UX Research Analyst and Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting user research to inform design decisions and producing user-centred designs that meet business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, including but not limited to user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
- Analyse user feedback and suggest design improvements.
- Develop user personas, scenarios, and journey maps.
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
- Collaborate with other designers, developers, and stakeholders to create intuitive and delightful experiences.Â
- Develop and maintain design guidelines and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and techniques.
- Conducting thorough user research to gather insights and feedback on product designs, and utilising those insights to inform iterative design improvements.
- Crafting elegant and intuitive user interfaces that provide a seamless user experience, while prioritising accessibility and inclusivity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across all touchpoints.
- Developing user personas, journey maps, and other user-centred design artefacts to guide decision-making and inspire empathy for the user.
- Leading user testing sessions to validate design decisions and iterate on designs in real-time.
- Championing the importance of user experience design within the organisation, and advocating for user needs and desires throughout the design process.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the team is always at the forefront of industry best practices.
- Articulating design decisions and presenting design concepts to stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner, using data and insights to support design choices.
- Balancing design aesthetics with functional requirements and technical constraints to create beautiful and effective solutions that solve real user problems.
- Delivering high-quality design assets, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, that meet project timelines and exceed expectations.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in UX research and design. Relevant experience for 1-2 years in a Design company or agency.Â
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with user-centred design principles and methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with data visualisation and analytics.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in motion design and animation.
- Portfolio showcasing user-centred designs and research.
